I am originally from Germany where I received my architectural degree from  Universitaet Siegen, Dipl. Ing. Architekt, Master of Science in Architecture in 1989.

At the start of my career I worked in several firms in Cologne & Aachen, Germany on commercial projects like shopping malls, apartment buildings, office buildings and restaurants.

In 1999 I moved to the United States and have lived and worked in California, Hawaii and Washington state. While in California, I worked with Marcy Jones, Architect in Mill Valley, Marin county for 3 years. When Marcy retired, I began working on my own. 

My husband and I moved to Sequim, Washington in 2015. My husband was a general contractor in California for many years, and together we designed and built our own house. This process gave me valuable insights into the workings of the local building department and other agencies. It also helped me to understand the immense amount of decisions that go into building a new house!

After finishing our house I started working with Karla Forsbeck, at Dungeness Design and we collaborated for 5 years on many residential projects. During this time, I honed my skills with architectural and design software. 

I currently have my own business with a deep network of other professionals that I can call on as needed.
